Our curriculum is a comprehensive self protection system of blocking, striking, kicking, grappling and weapon techniques. We offer many different class times and days giving you many options to develop a convenient and practical schedule for you or your child. To maximize your training we recommend attending classes at least twice a week.

    About

    A Family atmosphere is important to us and to encourage fun family activities, we offer two family oriented group classes on Saturdays.

    Family Class #1 is combination of the Little Dragons & Kenpo Kids classes, which allows young brothers, sisters and friends to train together. The class teaches basic karate skills with various drills and games in order to reinforce important life skills of cooperation and respect.

    Family Class #2 is a combination of the Black Belt, Advanced Black Belt, Teens and Adults classes, providing family and friends shared goals, quality time, and an opportunity to meet a great group of friendly people.  Our Family Classes teach martial arts in a fun and exciting way that accommodates the different needs of each student.

    About

    Eastgate Kenpo instruction also involves tournament competition (Sport Karate) consisting of sparring, self-defense and forms (Kata). This develops a SENSE OF FAIR PLAY and SPORTSMANSHIP in a controlled competitive situation. The tournament class works on showmanship, sparring strategies, and weapons. The class is open to any student who wishes to compete at the various karate tournaments throughout Oregon and Washington.
